Breast cancer nutritionResearch suggests that we may be able to prevent 35 percent of cancer cases by changing diet alone. However, it is very difficult to be exact about this, since people eat a wide range of food in different amounts all the time. Some people eat more fruit and vegetables than others. Evidence related to diet and breast cancer is found when we compare the rates of the disease in Asia and in western countries. Asian women have a much lower rate of the disease than western women. But when Asian women move to live in the western countries, their breast cancer risk increases. It means that the risk of their breast cancer changes. Therefore, it is easy to see that the difference in risk must be linked to lifestyle or the environment rather than any other related risks. The most obvious change among Asian immigrants is diet. This pattern, coupled with many medical researches suggests that dietary changes may be associated with breast cancer risk.
